On the go again!!

We have started chasing Brent to horse shows again and they prove to be adventurous with three!! The boys have been great and troopers throughout all the mishaps and late nights. We have had air conditioner problems in 100++ degree temps but we all survived and are hoping for cooler temps in the upcoming trips. We went to Glen Rose, Waco and most recently Oklahoma City. Brent is doing great on the horses and trying to get them sold for the owners. We leave again today for Abilene. If you are ever in an area where we are give us a call and we'll have supper. We saw Jayla, Steven, Brook, Mitch, Robyn and Dillon while we were in Waco. It was great to catch up and let the kids play.

Pics from Oklahoma City Trip!!
Mom got to babysit three boys and Emi, one afternoon while Brent worked for the photographers. Emi is getting better with the boys and has even sat still long enough to pose for pics- as long as they are NICE to her!!
Late night at the barrel race. With over 850 horses, Brent did not run until midnight and 2am on Friday and Saturday. The boys and I were troopers and stayed up to watch him. They did great and ran around or yelled for daddy but at times they were exhausted and all needed to rest. So did Mom and Dad after 2am and 4am bedtimes!!

We all crashed on the bed in the trailer together at naptime. Everyone found a spot in different directions!!
Thursday night we got a terrible storm with lots of rain. It resulted in a leak in the trailer and MUD puddles. The boys were in heaven, especially Korbin who is my dirt/mud boy.
Karson stayed out and drove around it but soon landed in the mud with his brother.

Karson helps Korbin take off his shoes to feel the mud between his toes.
Tractors are stuck in the mud--should've had a John Deere!!
Tractor races!
Time for the water hose.

Fit Time

We started the terrible twos early and they are still going. We are working really hard at stopping our fits and he is doing really great. When we get tired, they get worse so we just try to get some good naps and lots of rest. However, today was a day when we weren't having a good day. Dad upset Karson, Mom had the cameras out to go swimming so we got him on tape. rumor has it Mom has similar pictures in her scrapbook and was a fit thrower but she tends to disagree!!

One month old

Our baby is one month old.  Time is going really quit with this one.  We are finally getting into somewhat of a routine and adjusting to three.  Kelton is a great baby.  He is a wonderful eater and good sleeper.  Everyday he is more alert and loves to look around.  He listens when you talk to him and even makes faces at you.  It is fun to watch him grow!!  Can't wait to see what the future and next few months hold for you.

Waco Zoo

During our recent trip to Waco for the barrel race, Dad managed a few extra hours to go with us to the Waco Zoo.  It was a smaller zoo but was wonderful for us.  It had all the large animals we wanted to see and even had a great new expansion with neat exhibits.  We love the zoo and try to go to one everywhere we go.

We walked up just in time to see the elephant giving himself a bath to cool off.  It was fun to watch.  Karson really enjoyed it since it the elephant is his favorite animal.

Family poses for pic with the elephant.
Learning about rattlesnakes
Break for a snack

Karson loved the alligator.  They had a little cave to crawl in and look through the window at the alligator.  He was sitting right beside the window and even got up to turn around so we could see him better.  It was neat to see especially his long white toenails.  Don't want to meet him in the swamps!!
Otters!!  The otters were swimming everywhere even over the slide.  The zoo had a see through tunnel slide that went through the otters tank.  The boys slid down it and the otter went over them.  NEAT!!

Having a talk with the jaguar.
Searching for monkeys, ducks, fish, turtles.
Slide time.  Hang on Korbin!
Don't let the snake bit you!

Brotherly Love

The boys were hanging out and helping mom with Kelton.  Karson did great keeping his pacifier in so he didn't cry and Korbin made sure he did his part to help also.  They are great helpers and love their little brother.

Never get anything done

I wonder why I never get anything done especially now that we have three to keep up with.  Karson answered my question the other day.  He wanted to go outside so I told him to get clothes on.  He disappeared into his room while I finished the dishes.  When I went in there to check on him, this is what I found.  He was dress in long sleeve tee and shorts but had ever drawer pulled out and the clothes dumped all over the floor.  Needless to say, we had to pick it all up giving me something else to do during the day.  Seems like all we do is pick up and clean up a spilt drink or food.  Oh, well what else could I want to do than spend time with my angels!!

Random pics

Here are a few more random pics from our lives.

Kelton snoozing in the swing.  Trying to get a little bit of sleep without brothers waking him up.

Boys playing horse on Daddy.  They can't wait for dad to get home to run or wrestle with.  They love their daddy and so do I!!  He is a great help with the boys and wonderful to have around at bedtime and anytime!!

Mom took a virus/bug on Wednesday and laid on the couch all day.   The boys had to play by themselves and did a great job.  There were even times when I woke up to figure out where they were since it was so quiet.  One time I awoke to Korbin in the chair.  We had been watching Olympic volleyball and both of us fell asleep.  He never does this so I should have know something was wrong.  PaPaw came to get them at lunch to go play.  Within an hour he brought Korbin back with 101 fever.  No wonder he fell asleep on his own!!  Luckily, it was only a 24 hour bug and we are all feeling better.
Sweet boy
Nickel race at the Lamesa Rodeo.  You can see Brent in blue striped shirt in the middle with Korbin and Karson in front of him in white tee.  The kids race to a tarp in front of them to gather as many nickels as they can.   Last year Karson wasn't into it but this year he was right in the middle and even climbing over people.  Korbin just played in the dirt!!

Fun Fun

Korbin likes to wear hats and always has them on backwards. Cute Homey
Rodeo time- the boys are out with dad waiting to do the nickel scramble. Karson came back with a pocket full of nickels.

HAPPY 5th Birthday, Macy!! Sorry we missed the party. We were in Oklahoma City. We'll come to Lubbock soon to visit you!

August Adventures

August was a exciting and challenging month adjusting to life with three boys. We spent as much time as possible at the pool and the farm. The weather was great but the mosquitoes ate us up.
Tractor fun with dad.

BRRRR!! Bath after getting feet stamped.

Karson gives mom instructions on how to give Kelton a bath

Meme stamping Kelton's feet for his baby sampler. She has made or is in the process of cross stitching one for all the boys. It is really cute and she does a great job. We just put her in overload with and abundance of boys in a short period of time. She'll get them done before they graduate!!

Dad has been a HUGE help with the addition of Kelton and the boys love daddy time. He is great at putting the boys to bed which includes story time. Thanks for all you do, Brent. You are the greatest!

Karson ready and dressed (by himself) to go to the County roping. Never mind it is 105 degrees outside!! He found his gloves and hat and decided he had to wear it. We got lots of stares as we walked into the outdoor stadium. My best friend was at the other end commented to her sister-in-law, "Do you see that boy wearing a toboggan-doesn't he know how hot it is." Only later she found out it was us!! She was shocked I let him out of the house in it. I figured he has to learn on his own and needs to have the self confidence to do as he wants. That is one of my goals as a mom is to let the boys dress, act, play as they want and not be worried about what others will think as long as they don't get hurt.
*** Check out the hat- It has a lump in top. It didn't even occur to me what it was until he took it off at the roping. I store his mittens in the hat in the drawer and he only pulled one pair out. There were still 2 in there!!

Relaxing in the sun

Camping out in the living room. This is the first time we have let the boys camp out in the living room. They pulled out the egg crates, sleeping bags at all. Supriseling, they went to sleep rather quickly, even Korbin.

Kelton brought Korbin a new baby doll.

Kelton's first and one of many stroller rides. We love to go for walks around the neighbor hood and Karson is trying to learn to ride his bike on the streets.
